News from Becks Fish Camp ~ 7/5/2010 ~
Fishing is GREAT! 2 FIVE + pound large-mouth Bass have been caught that we know of and both from the bank! Numerous large Catfish up to 40 lbs. have been hauled in as well.
Large beautiful Bream and Bass are being hauled in from the Bank and by boat!
The River and Bayou level is great and the beauty is breathtaking. Plenty of Birds for the bird watchers too.
BOAT RENTALS - We have a "fleet" of kayaks, row boats and a canoe for rent on our wonderful bayou. If you're "boatless" come rent one from us and go fish or explore our beautiful "river" world.
CAMPING - We have some RV sites with hook-ups
as well as primitive campsites, but call ahead as the number is limited and business has been good in the past few weeks. Come spend a weekend, week or month fishing, hiking and
enjoying the bayou and River. Worms, poles, ice, and drinks are available from the "Store".
FARM REPORT - The deer decimated our first planting. We'll replant and have a late crop of peas and beans. The new pastures for the
goats are growing well and we're going to bring in more goats soon.
Coming Soon - A seperate Farm and Livestock page to keep you informed of our Farming progress!

Explore the Escambia River from Becks Lake Fish Camp! We invite you to
experience a great naturalist area with access to over 35,000 acres of fishing and natural beauty by visiting Becks Lake Fish Camp.
Becks Lake Fish Camp is set among Live Oaks dripping Spanish Moss on a bayou-river setting of a network of
pristine waterways that are teaming with Bass, Bream, Crappie, Bluegill and much more! Natural Bayous were enlarged during the Northwest Florida Lumber
Boom of the late 1880's and now the fish flock to this area because of our deep and still waters. Those looking for more adventure and fishing
opportunities have but to motor or paddle a short distance to the Escambia River, the 4th largest river in Florida and considered the best
fishing river by the State. Hunters are telling us that we're the perfect spot to use as
"base camp" for duck and other hunting in the Escambia River Wildlife Management Area!
We have over 2 miles of water frontage with a boat launch & storage, fishing, group activity areas, a group primitive camping area,
hiking trails, and limited RV sites. There's over a mile of exceptional water frontage in the "lake" and a beautiful half mile deep channel connects our "lake" with the Escambia River.
Unlike most boat launch and waterfront areas, the property manager lives and works on-site and you can have more peace
of mind about leaving your vehicle unattended.

Becks Fish Camp is close to all major area attractions, including Pensacola Beach, Historic Downtown Pensacola,
and the Creek Indian Casino just a few miles north in Atmore, AL. It is known by the locals as the gateway to the heart of the 35,000 acres of the Escambia River Delta, this is "the" place to embark
on a river "oddessy", fish your little heart out, or just paddle around in our waterways.
